We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we have prayerfully discerned how our Faith Formation team can best serve our parish during this unprecedented pandemic. Over the course of the last few months, we have prepared our parish to reopen and have made a lot of great progress. Unfortunately, we are not at a point yet where we will be able to host faith formation classes or events on campus. At this time, we are encouraging our families to register for our home study options of faith formation, which span from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. While this may not be ideal for all, we are excited about the programs that will be used in each of these grade levels, as well as the additional programs for parent and family faith formation. If you have any specific questions about the program, please reach out to the specific coordinator.
Faith Formation registration will open on Tuesday, July 21 at 9:00am. We encourage you to register by Monday, August 31 to help us better prepare for the year ahead. We understand this is a difficult time, and your family is still discerning your schedule for the upcoming school year. However, our hope is that our home study programs will provide support and enrichment for your family during this difficult time. Late registration will begin September 1, with the costs of the program increasing slightly, so be sure to register as soon as you are able.
There are two additional elements we are adding to this registration process this year, especially in light of our current conditions from the pandemic. The first is the option to select whether you would be open to a spot on campus (if conditions improve). We do not have a timetable on this, but would reach out to the families in order of when they registered to offer them a spot (if available). The second addition is the option to help support other families with the registration fee. We know this is a difficult time for many of our parish families, and do not want the cost of faith formation registration to stand in the way of your desire for your family to grow in their faith and continue your pursuit of sacraments. With this being said, there is an option on the registration form to help support other parish families with their fees - with this being considered a tax-deductible contribution (so long as it is not earmarked for a specific family).
Lastly, our top priority is to support our parish families in the return to the sacraments. This means Mass, but also includes the Sacraments of Initiation including: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. If your child was scheduled to receive their Sacrament in the spring, one of our coordinators will reach out to you and work on rescheduling a date of reception for your child. As a reminder, If your child is in year two of their sacrament preparation process, they must be registered in our Faith Formation program for the 2020-2021 year. The only exception is if your child attends Catholic School.
Registration is now closed.
