Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) assist priests and deacons in the distribution of the body and blood of Jesus Christ at Mass and other liturgical celebrations. They must be instructed, trained, and given the Bishop's mandate. EMHC are Catholics in good standing that have a love of the Eucharist and wish to serve their fellow parishioners.
